Note From the Author

An Oregon native currently residing in my hometown of Portland, I travel whenever possible but always find myself coming back to the Pacific Northwest. Inspired by my passion for environmental and social justice – as well as my love for the mountains – I recently earned a degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder. As an academic, a writer, a photographer, and an interior stylist, I use my background to dissect + narrate the stories of PPS: people + the places and spaces they inhabit.

I’ve worked on several home ‘flips’ with my mom, including the apartment that I’m currently living in. Although it can be difficult living in a construction zone, it’s this unique opportunity that ignited my passion for home styling. Together, my mom and I make a great team: she supervises the design while I take care of the stylistic details.

With this blog, I aim to help you bring your unique experiences, points of view, and personality into your home, no matter your budget. I believe that every one has a stylist inside of them and that everyone should be able to make their house a home. In the images I source and shoot, you will find carefully curated eclectic and transitional interiors with rustic and vintage accents, just the right amount of color, and most importantly, personal touches. I hope that my content can be a consistent source of inspiration for you!
